Stuart Winter-Rimmer

After leaving school in 1986, Stuart Winter-Rimmer worked in the construction industry in various capacities including Labouring, Hod carrying, ground working, site management and restoration plastering. In 1998 the decision was made to carve out a more sustainable future in the construction industry and Stuart enrolled on a two year HND construction management course. This course was completed in 2000 with Distinction and stuart was awarded the Norman Wright Trophy for Best student, achieving distinctions in many of the course modules.
Studying for the HND sparked an interest in Architectural design and after an informal visit to The Portsmouth School of architecture Stuart enrolled as an undergraduate on an architectural degree which was completed in 2003. During undergraduate studies Stuart received awards for the most improved student and also collaborated on a design competition for the redesign of Gosport Submarine museum which came in as runner up.
After a year spent working in Cornwall Architectural studies were resumed and the Diploma in architecture with Merit was awarded in 2006. Full time work was sought and Architectural studies continued hand in hand with this achieving chartered Architect status in 2011.
Throughout his career Stuart has been involved in many different project types including healthcare, private residential, Social/affordable housing, commercial, Leisure, retail, listed buildings and community projects.
